Interstellar
I am in awe of what I saw last night... but too damn busy with my last month of university before graduation to paint a picture. Maybe I will find some time, it will be quick though.
I love how this movie is not just a movie, but a means to educate the public about science, rationality, and even some bits about the scientific method. I saw it in an AMC imax theater, or rather, I got on a space ship and went through a wormhole right next to Matthew McConaughey.
They used real physics equations to model the special effects in the movie. Wow, Christopher Nolan is the man.

Working on video game art
Hey everyone, in about two months everyone should be able to see the awesome backgrounds I'm doing for an upcoming indie video game. The game is called Particle Fleet: Emergence and I myself am a fan of the creator's last game Creeper world 3: Arc Eternal

After playing through it I contacted him and asked if he would like my services on his upcoming game, and he happily agreed.
So I'm doing dozens of space backgrounds. Once the game is released I will be able to share them. :)
Cant wait to show them off, you're gonna love them!
Also, possibly getting an additional offer from a game studio doing
Nebula Painting Tutorial
Trying to explain nebula painting is like trying to explain how to engineer a bridge (my other profession). If I start at the very basics we'll all die of boredom before we get a beautiful picture. This is an art tutorial, so I will favor pictures over words.
So, lets start with a crucial idea:
The basis of realistic nebula painting is shape randomness.
I have found that my best nebula are those that I didn't plan at all, they emerged from me haphazardly spraying with a brush and then I picked out some cool shapes.
So lets begin:
Step 1: Background Stars
The creation of stars is outside the scope of this tutorial. My method is to use a c

I did four backgrounds for an upcoming game Dominus Galaxia
It's a 4X space strategy game, basically Civilization in space, the creators are really cool guys who have been working on this full time for a year now.
They are planning on doing a kickstarter, I will post about it when they do it. For now enjoy this artwork that will be back behind the main gameplay.

I am working on using more cloud textures and custom brushes in my work to create more natural, realistic shapes, as well as to increase the speed of my artwork creation.
Let me know what you think of this artwork!
