Tim Barton
Artist | Hobbyist | Digital Art
United States
Hi I'm Tim Barton, welcome to my artist profile.
I am a bridge engineer working for Houston-based LJA Engineering Inc. In my plentiful free time I create artwork with a particular devotion to the infinite beauty of outer space.

I work on commissions frequently, creating artwork for websites, video games, and novels. If you would like to commission my services you can message me through a Deviant Art note (you will need to register first), or simply send me an email at timbarton411@yahoo.com. My clients have been extremely pleased with my work and most of my clients hire me repeatably for various projects.

I am an active member of Houston Oasis, a secular community where humanists from all over the city gather weekly, and I have dedicated my life to promoting reason and inspiring awe of the universe with my artwork.

I'm a Patreon Creator! Support me on patreon and gain access to high resolution paintings, get an easter egg placed somewhere in a painting, or even automatically get a print of works sent straight to you.

Space is big.  You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is.  I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the drug store, but that's just peanuts in space.

Behold 2
I tried so hard to think of a cool name, but eventually I gave up and just stuck with the temporary name I had on the file: Behold 2.
Because it looks very similar to my previous painting Behold:
Behold by cosmicspark

This was painted in Photoshop from scratch using my Wacom Intuous Pro tablet.

Shadow Star Nebula Concept (Commission)
Hi, I got permission to share this today.
Brandon Pittman from Radian-Helix Media (radianhelixmedia.com/) hired me to paint a concept image for a game they are hoping to make.  He plans on creating this nebula in 3D so you as a player can fly around from star to star, and see the nebula move around you.

Its going to be so awesome!

I remember reading popular science books with amazing art, and wondering - how did they done it? I looked at those art pieces watching like real pictures of the Universe, and dreamed about seeing them on my own eyes one day. Well, it didn't happen, and I've learned they were paintings, but your pieces resembles me the old dreams about space I used to have.

Sir, i struggle with pens and pencils to create images that capture the infinite beauty of the starry skies. Its hard finding good art for reference or inspiration, but of all that ive seen? yours is by far the most breath taking i've ever laid eyes on. Thank you for your hard work

He is a cosmic juggernaut! Might I recommend using a mouse and the smudge tool (Photoshop)? I've been doing that for years and its worked fairly well for me.
